Wednesday 24-02-10

Today we went filming but Zain has forgot the tape so we had to compromise and film with a digital camera. We filmed in the car park in Sainsbury Colliers Wood, of a girl (Minyee) walking home.

Things that didn't go well : There were cars which was driving all the time, which changes the positions of our originally shots. So if we were to go back to re-shoot at the car park, we would have to re-film everything. To fit conventionally in the thriller genre the car park needed to be isolated but there were too many people.

Things that did go well : To overcome the problems for the isolation, we found a empty part of the car park which we could use. In addition, we have managed to finish filming in colliers wood, which means we won't be effected by the positions of the cars in the parking lot.

Monday 1-03-10

We had to return to Colliers Wood Sainsbury, to re- shoot the CCTV footage scene from Wednesday 24-03-10.

Things that didn't went well: It would have been better if we had more time, so that we could do extra shots.

Things that did went well: The car park in Colliers Wood was quite isolated on that day, which makes it easier for us to film. And that we managed to remember our tape and made up for last time with extended shots of CCTV footage.

Tuesday 2-03-10

We had to upload the footage and to create our music on garage band.

Things that didn't go well: We don't have enough footage, which means that we are working at a slow pace.

Things that did go well: We managed to get feed back from Miss Berry, which helped us understand what we should do to improve and what went well for us. For example the we got praised for the good use of mis en scene, however to improve we needed to film more scenes.

Wednesday 3-03-10

Minyee continued with her music production.

Things that didn't go well: We didn't managed to film today because two members of our group was absent from lesson.

Things that did go well: Minyee managed to finish composing the music from garage band.

Friday 5-03-10

Today we had to film more footages. Our next scene was located in a tube station, so we went to the nearest tube station (Balham station) to film a high angle and POV of minyee walking up stair and on the train in the tube station.

What didn't go well: Even though we are able to have access to the tube station and film, without getting caught. We did not managed to film as much as we wanted because we did not try to capture the scene with different shots.

Monday 8-03-10

Today we uploaded the footage's that we had of the tub e sta tion and the car park and experimented on live type on the credits and the title.

Tuesday 9-03-10

Today we went to Canary Wharf, london bridge and waterloo to shoot as many shots as we could. We also had to get permission from the security guard to use the security box to do the last scene.

Wednesday 10-03-10

Today after we look for costume for the stalker to wear we started the last scene and do some extra shots that we needed.

Friday 12-03-10

We noticed that we needed some shots of the assassin changing so we filmed different aspects of her changing. We also needed to show her going into a room where she could change and coming out so we did that as well.

Monday 15-03-10

Today we uploaded the clips of the killing scene and the changing scene where we realise that the shots of the killing scene didn't work as the the weapon wasn't effective so we decided to redo it.

Tuesday 16-03-10

Today we did some more footage for the killing scene as we realise it wasn't enough.

Wednesday 17-03-10
Today we did some more shots of the assassin changing and redo the ones we did as the ones we did wasn't good enough because they were shot at a weird angle.

We uploaded the footages that we had and started editing.

We filmed the CCTV footage on the laptop for our CCTV scene and also scene of the stalker's hand on the laptop to show that the girl was being watched. We also did some close ups of the screens in the security box.

Wednesday 22-03-10
Today we did some shots in the security box to show that the environment in which the stalker was in. We also tried using a different actor for our killing scene but it wasnt working out so we went back to the old actor and redo the scene with a different weapon.

This is our storyboard but it's too short as it is a couple of shots we are using. However in the real filming we would be using more variety of shots. Our storyboard represents a short version of our opening sequence.

Characters the protagonist of the film is the person who we follow the story of mostly it’s a hero but in our film is the bad guy working with a team who want a person dead but when she kills him she gets in trouble and people of the gang are after her. The person she kills is the person who is stoking her we let the audience believe that the person who is stroking her is the antagonist.

Location for the opening sequence we are going to be using various locations such as funfair to deal with business she then go to supermarket after she hits the streets where she realizes that she is being stroked she find who and where that person is and she kills her.

Genre of thriller the genre of the film is going to be action with crime.Themes in the film the film is going to have lots of fighting gun crime

The Back Story The main character/protagonist was brought up in an ordinary looking household, however within this ordinary looking household, hides a deepest and darkest secret. The Protagonist is actually brought up by a group of pro- assassins and so she was fated to become a pro-assassin. During her child hood, she was taught to abandon emotions because it is a flaw to carry emotions in the assassin world. She was also taught to hack; in order to extract important information’s from the government and skills to assassinate.

Years later she was offered a job as a assassin, which requires to kill the leader of a their rival gang, if she succeeds her status/reputation would raise in the assassin world. So in order to obtain the power she lust for, she accepted the challenge and has also successfully assassinated their gang’s most powerful rival. As her reputation raised in the assassin world, as the youngest and the most gifted and talented, other assassin clans wants to hire her and others that fear her wants her dead.

Opening sequence we open with a tracking shot, following our protagonist and as we follow her to her destination we use some high angle shots while we track her. We cross cut to where we would be watching her on CCTV how ever we don’t get to see who is watching her who she is being tracked we hear a camera snap showings she is being stroked. We see an innocent girl who is being watched but in her heart she realizes that she is being watched.

We follow her in the tube station and then again in the super market she is in the street and we hear the camera zooming in and we zoom in the protagonist when we zoom out we see her through the stoker’s eye watching her on a TV. Suddenly the TV crashes and the screen goes fuzzy the stoker is trying to put it back on we cross cut to the protagonist entering the building an the stoker trying to put the TV back on he hears the click of a hand gun as he turns around we see out protagonist with a shot gun pointing to the stoker’s head the screen goes blank and ewe hear a gun shot.

Story after that after she had killed the person who was stroking her the people in the gang of he stoker are after her because she killed their member.

“Hack into life”

We follow the story of a 10 years old young female (Ling Lee) who’s life depends on her mom (May) looking after her and trying to protect her from getting into dangerous situation because she is mentally disturbed she sees things which are not there sometimes she will run around in circles screaming and saying the aliens are coming. Her dad (Jairo) left after he fined out that her daughter is a mental patient. Both mother and daughter have had a rough experience after he left. One day Jairo returns to Graham’s lane (that’s where they live). He saw his daughter in such a trauma he has no choice but to call the mental hospital. Her mom disagrees strongly with him and the both start to argue see her parents fight, her condition got worst and worst and the days passed by, her mother would cry plead and pray to God to help her, but a hard decision would had to be taken as she knew sometimes to gain something you must loose something and she needed to do this for the person she loves. After seeing her daughter like this her mother was forced to send her there, that was the last time both mother and daughter saw each other.

It has been 6 years now since Ling left home and it was the time to return in a full capable young lady. Both Ling and her parents were happy but lightning struck twice. Her parents nor did the doctors knew that she still have that mental illness in her. Everyday at the stroke of midnight her inner beast rises and eating her alive inside of her again its been 2 weeks now since she came from hospital, one night her mother realised that she is still mentally impatience but doesn’t tell her husband about it in fear of loosing her again. So her May would sleep on the next room to Ling one night she tried to blend her hand in a food processor thinking her hand was a tomato but fortunately May stop this being happen and still kept a secret from Jairo on that night when May was trying to stop Ling , Ling claimed that her name was Chi. May’s sorrow days had returned. These accidents continued, one afternoon May realised that all these accidents involves one thing which is modern technology so May tried her best to keep dangerous equipment like these away from her. Ling doesn’t like her mom telling what to touch and what not to. This creates s crack between mother and daughter’s relationship. One night she got hold of her mom’s laptop and…

The antagonist is the hit woman with the website who watches over people through CCTV and hack in to peoples computers asking them if they want the person who is troubling them removed from their life and if they say yes then he goes and kills them.

The dad of the girl is the false hero who shows emotion towards the begging and then towards the end we know that he has been working with the hit woman trying to get rid of his daughter.

The film that we are making has a sub genre of a physiological thriller because it has lots of emotions and Ling with dealing with mental issues.

The audience of the film are from 15 to 25 year olds who are interested in physiological thriller with themes of gun crime mental tromer.

The film opens with a fade in the shot of our antagonist putting the gloves on, her black clock with a hood on, in her secret base. While this is happening the music is building up, suddenly the music drops and we hear a door slam. We then fade in the shot of someone on a laptop listening to laude music with their headphone we don’t see their face the camera is on their right side slowly turning on screen of the computer they are on face book suddenly a new window appears saying “do you want her dead” with a photograph of a young bubbly girl happy and wearing lots of pink. The person moves the mouse on that window and accidently clicks it the camera moves to the girl and we see it’s the same girl in the assassin’s photograph with different outlook. The whole story is in a non-liner structure we start off with disequilibrium and we flash back to the past and see the girl’s childhood and what has been happening to her when she was in the mental hospital.

This is our first treatment however we had to change the idea for our opening sequence because it was difficult to understand according too the audience. It would have been difficult to prove how we would portray the mental disabled character and fit it in the opening sequence. So will be doing a new treatment with a new idea.
